12 Kits...May

That's right...
it's that time again!
Time for another edition of the the 12 Kits of Christmas...
only this month we have a special edition...
it's...

You read right...
it's Hanukkah!
Suzanne even made us a special banner...
isn't she fabulous?

Joyce was in charge of kits this month and because she's Jewish she thought it might be fun to put a spin on things for us and have us create some projects using PTI's Mazel Tov...
look at all the goodies she sent...

Again...this month's incredible photo provided by Kara!

And this kit WAS fun!
One...
I don't own it so it was a first for me to get to play with.
Two...
she gave us a little background about Hanukkah which I admit I didn't know very much about...
and three...
well did you see this fabulous kit?
The colors are gorgeous...
patterns...
elements...
who wouldn't have fun using this?

So here's what I came up with...

Now par for me...
I did hoard some supplies!
One...
for CASE'ing...
because I know I'm going to see some "Why didn't I think of that?" projects from all the other girls that's going to make me glad I hoarded some goodies...
and two...
because I don't have this set and now I have a few things when I may need them!
Sounds reasonable...
right?

OK...you have to go and visit and oogle all the other girls projects...
seriously...
you have to because if you don't then you'll be really upset that you missed the good stuff!
So off you go to see...

Cathy

And I hope y'all will come back again next month...
Amy's our hostess and I know some happy mail will be arriving soon...
I just love happy mail days!
Hope you have a wonderful week!

  1. Renee, I love what you did with your kit. Your projects are gorgeous. You even found a way to use that striped diagonal paper, which ended up giving me a headache while I was cutting it! You know that you should never hoard your Mazel Tov supplies, because I would be happy to send you an unlimited amount of anything you would need, right? If you can find a Bar Mitzvah in Kentucky, I'll send you the goods!

  2. Hi Renee! What a treat to wake up to! All three projects are perfect. I love the clean formal look of your card! The gift box has all the elements required to tempt one to peek - the little bow, the gems, and that fun font. Your dredle tag too is all decked out ready to add some sparkle and bling to a gift. I think we all might be casing YOU!

  3. You are going to be ready for any Hanukkah card you want to send Renee, you made three great projects, my favorite is the favor it box, just love the patterned paper on it and the ribbon. I also really love your tag, so simple but that dreidel on it adds such a fun touch. You always crack me up with your holding back some of your supplies for a rainy day...and from what you have told me, you have lots of rainy days and a damaged roof to prove it! Great job this month, as always.

  4. Renee, I just love that card, it is so elegant and like what Joyce said, would have made my eyes spin making it but, wow, so classy and beautiful.
Your treat holder and tag are so sweet, I think I will be adding more goodies to mine that I that I have seen yours, just too cute. Everything is so festive and fun! Now on your hording...it is possible to see a picture of all the things you don't use and save??? And saving a for a rainy day, do you only use those things that have been saved? You are just too funny, I have to say that I always look forward to seeing what you have posted to read your stories. Great ideas for this month's challenge, all are fabulous.

  8. Oh, Renee, these are all so gorgeous! I'm so glad to see you used the striped paper too. I thought it was so striking and it was the first thing I picked out to use. Love your treat box and tag! I never think to use a button with the ribbon and it makes such a sweet addition. Looks like you are all ready for Hanukah! I always smile when you talk about your hoarded supplies! I have been keeping everything in little clear bags in the Christmas sack you sent in January. It's beginning to get a little full!!

  10. Renee, my favorite is the tag...I just love the beautiful layering you did, the colors all work so well together, and the addition of the blue rhinestones was the perfect touch :) Of course the bag and card are not too shabby, either!!! ;) The bag has so many details to it, love that its tied with a button and twine on the ribbon, and the layering of the menorah on the card is the perfect focal point!
