Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #102

Good Saturday morning everyone!
Hope you have had a fabulous week!
Busy one here!
After last Summer's fall and not being able to get projects completed...
I'm trying to make up for it this year!
And it didn't help that we had a lot more damage to our roof than we originally thought back during Spring storms...
we didn't know until our daughter's ceiling started pouring water a few weeks ago during a weekend of rain...
yeah...
not so good.
So we got a new roof last week...
and now we're waiting on new guttering and vinyl and then the sheetrock man to come in and repair the interior damage!
Along with trying to finish the new patio...
painting...
I'm busy everyday!
But hoping to have everything finished by the end of the month so at least we can just enjoy July.
And it helps that we're not planning any trips till Fall when the weather cools and lines are not as long...
but wanting to do some day trips with the kids if I find enough courage to venture out in public with The Lynch Mob...
*giggle*

So as busy as I am...
there's always time for play right?
And you know what Saturday's mean...
another fabulously fun Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge...
YAY!!
And this week is another fabby sketch from the wonderfully talented Edna Morrisedie...

And I took a little liberty with this one...
flipped it and then flipped again...
*giggle*...

I used the incredibly gorgeous small houndstooth pattern from Anya's Heirloom Patterns...
have you tried them yet?
So easy to use and they line up so perfectly...
you gotta give them a try!
And that fabby bold sentiment is from the spectacular Compact Sentiment line...
again...
have you tried?
You have to!
Claire has managed to pack so much into these sets...
seriously...
every person...
every occasion...
you're covered!
"Hello" happens to be from Compact Sentiments 2...
and it's just the perfect everyday-just-want-to-send-a-friend-a-card sentiment!

So are you ready to join us in a little fun time?
Head over to the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge Blog and check out all the yummy eye candy the Mischief Makers and DT have for you...
and make sure to give a huge welcome to our guest MM...
Vickie Zimmer...
YAY!!

But before linking up...
just make sure to use at least one Waltzingmouse product...
and one lucky participant will win the stamp set of their choice just for playing along!

And don't forget to link up your creation in your gallery and on the forum for your chance to be The Big Cheese!

OK...
tomorrow's the 17th and you know what that means...
Waltzingmouse Blog Party!!
Now I know that it's also Father's Day here in the States...
but no worries...
this is a 24 hour party...
there will be plenty of time to join in!
You can get all the details from Claire's blog here...
and hope to see you there!

Wishing you all a great week and I'll see you at the party!

  3. Renee this card is fantastic! I love the houndstooth, but even more how you lined it up to create a perfect background. The doily, the ribbon and the sentiment--fabby. The work around the house never ends, one day at a time. :)

  8. Renee, that houndstooth is so fabulous, one more stamp I don't have and now need, thanks! Your card is just so wonderful and I can't tell if the color is a coral or salmon, but it is just awesome...love that bow too.

  9. Renee, this looks great! I love the pink you used and the way the banner hangs off the side of the card. That bow and doily are just WOW! Ugh, getting a new roof is the worst. It is SUCH an expensive project and although its so needed, its not something that you notice...I'd so much rather have put the money we put into ours into home improvements on the inside! Glad you're getting painting and a new patio too, though :)

How many words per minute do you type because with all the "stuff" you are doing all the time how the heck do you have time to get in the post LOL or are you like me and can type as fast as you think ~ but being a blonde I find myself tapping my fingers because I am drawing a BLANK LOL. Beautiful card AS ALWAYS!! Love that houndstooth xoxoxo
