Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #121

Good Saturday morning everyone...
hope you had a fabulous week!
Well...
you know...
Saturday...
favorite day of the week!
Each one brings a new and fabulous sketch challenge from Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge Blog and this week is no exception!
This week our sketch is from the amazingly and wonderfully creative Jeanne Jachna...

And even though I'm still waiting on my latest package from the mailman...
why is he so slow...
I did receive the new Camellia set a couple of weeks ago and had to pull it out for this one...

I stamped the big and small blooms from Camellia onto the gorgeous new Cupid's Bow cardstock from WPlus9...
then used a Copic for a little added depth in the shading.
And then adhered them onto one of the incredibly gorgeous new Opera Tags die cut and stamped with the corresponding image!
Seriously...
they're gorgeous!
And Camellia...
I die!!
Such stunning detail!
The sentiment is also from Camellia...
and I die again over the font Claire used!
A big checked bow...
all done!

4 of a Kind - October

Good morning everyone!
It's that time of the month again...
time for another...

with Joyce, Cathy and Kim.
We're running a little behind this month...
my kit decided to take an extended vacation in getting to me...
but it finally arrived safe and sound...
along with some extra's that Cathy and Kim had sent out when it was missing in action...
so when I say I have enough goodies left over to make 15-20 more cards...
I'm really not kidding!
Here's a shot of all the incredible treats that Kim sent out to us this month...

Papers from Authentique's Enchanted line and PTI...
images and sentiments from the coolest Halloween stamps around...Waltzingmouse...
Cicely At Halloween, Gracie at Halloween, Hocus Pocus, Wanda's Pantry, Halloween Party.
Spider web die cuts from PTI...
twine and ribbon...
buttons...
tulle...
black pearls...
seriously...
this kit was AH-MAZ-ING!!
And the day it finally landed in my mailbox...
I sat down that night and created these...

Joyce and Kim have talked about "assemble themselves" cards before...
I think I got that kit this month because they literally came together so quickly...
love that!
Thank You Kim for such an amazing kit!!

Now...take a few minutes and pop over and visit

Joyce
Kim
Cathy

to see what they were able to create with all this incredible goodness...
and we'll be back next month with another edition and Joyce as our hostess!
Hope you have a wonderful week!

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #120

Good Saturday morning everyone!
Hope you had a fabulous week!
After 2 weeks of fall break...
mine was busy and extremely tiring.
I'm so far behind on things...
I'm hoping to get caught up on some this weekend!

Well...
since it's Saturday...
you know what that means right?
Time for another Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge!
This week is fabulously fun one from the uber talented Clare Buswell...

I went Halloween again with this one...

I stamped the checkerboard background using Off Beat Backgrounds...
LOVE that set...
and then used the circle image from one of my all time favorite sets...
Cicely at Halloween.
Colored her with some Copics and then adhered her to a black circle and then onto a purple doily.
Some buttons...
a little seam binding and some lace...
all done!

So any plans for the weekend?
Why not join us in the fun?

Hop over to the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge Blog and check out all the incredible projects the Mischief Makers and DT have to inspire you...

Waltzingmouse Blog Party

Good afternoon everyone!
Popping in really quickly for this month's...
I have a very quick project to show today using the fabulous colors that were given to us for this month's challenge...

Now...
because I already have a very nice stock of Halloween cards...
that need to be addressed and sent off...
and I might actually remember to do that before Thanksgiving...
*giggle*
I decided to show what will be heading to the kiddies classes this year...
and when I say they're quick and simple...
I'm not lying...
they are.
But when there are almost 60 to do...
quick and simple is the only way to go...

Told you!
*giggle*
I used some adorable chevron little bitty bags from Whisker Graphics...
which by the way...
hold a package of Fun Dip perfectly...
and wrapped the bag with twine from The Twinery..
then attached "labels" made from cardstock and stamped with sentiments and images from Waltzingmouse Midnight Feast...
the coolest treat set ever!
I mean...
what's more creepy than being dared to eat something?
OK...
maybe it's just me and if you've ever read about my food issues then you understand...
but let's just say...
I'm not scared of dares...
unless they involve food.
Maybe reptiles.
And spiders.
And heights.
Possibly anything that could involve probable pain.
But the truth?
I'll give you that.
I tell everything even when I'm not dared.
*giggle*

Now...
I'm off to see all the wonderful inspiration that I know I'm going to see at this party!
Don't have your project ready yet?
No worries!
This party last for 24 hours and you can grab all the details on Claire's blog here!
If you need a little inspiration...
pop over the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge Blog for this week's fabulous sketch...
which could also make a great starting point!
See you along the way!

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #118

Good Saturday morning!
Hope everyone had a wonderful week...
and since it's Saturday...
you know what that means...
time for another fabulous Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge!
This week we have a gorgeous sketch from the extremely talented Becca Fecken...
This is a long one...
and I turned it into a full size card by just scoring right down the middle of a piece of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock...

I used Halloween Party for the images and sentiment...
and French Country for the strip of border.
That border stamped in black on orange cardstock...
a fabulous Halloween pattern...
thanks Marybeth for the inspiration! :)
And that flower...

I cut one piece off a strip of flowered ribbon and then used some seam binding behind and a big jewel for the center.
All of this is layered on a piece of patterned paper from Authentique's Enchanted.

See...
super easy!
Now are you ready to join in and play along with us?

Hop over to the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge Blog and check out all the incredible projects the Mischief Makers and DT have to inspire you...
then link up your creation with the linky provided for your chance to become Top Mouse and...
don't forget that one lucky participant will win the stamp set of their choice just for playing along!

And don't forget about Blog Party coming up on the 17th...
it's a Halloween Color Challenge...
and you can get all the details on Claire's blog here!
Can't wait to see what you create!

New Goodies

Surprise!
Yes...
it's Wednesday...
the middle of the week and I'm actually posting!
And for no other reason than I got new goodies and since we're on fall break and I don't have to be in my car and I happened to stay up past 2am finishing a book that totally disappointed me with the ending...like REALLY disappointed...and then I couldn't go to sleep because I still had so many questions so I finally drifted off somewhere around 3:30 and now I'm totally useless because I feel as though I'm possibly coming off a 3 day drunk...look it too...and what happened?
I used to stay out till 3:30...come in grab a couple hours sleep and a shower and then go to work for 8 hours and then repeat the cycle again the following night...
and now...
I think I could possibly be dying.
I blame the kids for this.
I know it's all their fault.

OK...so anyway back to why I'm posting.
I got new WPlus9 goodies yesterday...
who else got them?
Didn't you just die seeing those gorgeous beauties up close and personal?
I know I did.
And last night...
I was the feeling the Christmas spirit while watching Poltergeist and played a little.
I know...
what a combo right?
I mean Christmas...
Poltergeist...
just rolls right off the tongue...
naturally what you think of together...
kind'a like peas and carrots!
*giggle*
Don't ask.
The other day it was streaming the entire 1st season of American Horror Story...
and OMGosh!!
New season...
next week!!
That show totally creeps me out...
but I'm SO addicted and can't wait for the new season!

Alright...so I'm in the Christmas mood...
and because I LOVE Dawn's "country" style because I am a country girl...born and bred...everything about me is country...from living in the country...to the way I talk (just ask Suzanne!)...the way I live...country.
OH!  Wait!
Not my music.
We've discussed this before.
For someone who grew up right outside of Nashville you would think I would know all about country music...
but much to my parents astonishment and threats to perform exorcisms because apparently I was possessed...
I'm a metal girl from way back!
*giggle*
But Dawn gave me a gingham tree (I know...it's actually for everyone...but just give me my delusion for today)!!
I die!!
And so I had to pull out Pretty Patches: Tree for a little "Hello Beautiful" last night and used my new favorite Christmas color combo for a very quick and simple card...

And since it was hard getting the pink gingham to show up in this...
here's a little close up...

I love that gingham tree!
Quick...
simple...
easy...
the way I like 'em!

OK...
I'm done now! :)
I'll be back Saturday with a new Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge though!
And don't forget about Blog Party on the 17th!
It's a Halloween Color combo...

Cloud 9 Blog Hop

Hello everyone!
Popping in really quickly with a card I made for the...

Suzanne gave us an incredibly gorgeous Halloween pic for inspiration this month...

Look at all those fabulous patterns and colors!
Now...
I have a little confession.
After WPlus9's release last week and this jaw dropping card that Anya created with the new Quilt Cuts 2...

I decided to play around a little with Quilt Cuts 1 while waiting for my new goodies to arrive...
which...
by the way...
should be today but mail hasn't ran yet...
I know because I'm a super spy and have been watching the mailbox!
*giggle*
So anyway...
I played around a bit and before I could post it...
Suzanne posted the inspiration pic and guess what?
It fit.
So I saved it.
Posting it now...
but be prepared...
it's definitely not in Anya's league...

I used Quilt Cuts 1 to cut some MME Haunted papers...
arranged and adhered them onto cardstock...
then Pretty Patches: Pumpkin die to create a silhouette.
The sentiment is combined from A Pocketful and A Pocketful: Halloween.

I'm off now...
will be back later to see all the gorgeous inspiration...
and hope you get a chance to play along too!

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #118

Happy, Happy Saturday!

the bestest day of the week...
it's also World Cardmaking Day and what better way to celebrate this little obsession hobby of ours than with a new Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge to help jump start your cardmaking mojo!
This week our fabulous sketch is from the uber talented Sarah Martina Parker...

doesn't it just get the mojo flowing?
Here's my take on this one...

Used a little Hocuc Pocus for this one...
is that fence not the most fabulous Halloween fence ever?!
I stamped it in Perfect Medium and then used some Perfect Pearls in white to hopefully give it an "spooky" feel.
The sentiment is some selective stamping on a Spellbinders Deckled Edge Oval.
That harlequin...
you guessed it!
Heirloom Patterns!
I know you already know this...
but I do love that pattern!
All of this was matted onto some Authentique Enchanted...
a jute bow and gem...
all done!
