Waltzingmouse September Release...Putting on the Ritz, Art Deco and Opera Tags Christmas

Good morning!
Aren't these just the best mornings?
The ones where you start to see some peeks and previews for the new Waltzingmouse release?
This month Claire has 8 new sets releasing on the 19th...
and they are spectacular!
I can't wait to show you what she has designed so let's just get to it!

First up...
Putting on the Ritz and Art Deco Backgrounds...

WMS Putting on the Ritz and Art Deco

I combined the sets on this card...
heat embossing the stamped background from Art Deco in gold embossing powder onto black cardstock.
Super easy and lines up like a dream!
The sentiment is from Putting on the Ritz (are you singing the tune yet because it's been running through my mind ever since I saw a peek of these beauties!)
Again, I heat embossed in gold onto black cardstock.
The element above and below the sentiment is from Art Deco...
not only is there a full background...
Claire included lots of elements to custom build your own.
A couple of strips of glitter ribbon above and below the sentiment panel finished this simple ditty.

And how can you see anything Art Deco without thinking of Gatsby?
Mia Farrow, Sam Waterston...Robert Redford?!!
I tried for a little nod to the fashion of that incredible era with my next card...

WMS Putting On the Ritz

I was going for a black tie and tails effect with this one...
stamping the sentiment from Putting on the Ritz in black onto a strip of white cardstock...
and there's that little element from Art Deco again...
then adhering onto a slightly wider strip of red cardstock...
which all that was then adhered onto a black card base.
I used some red striped May Arts ribbon to create my bow tie...
and a few sequins to finish.
Super simple!

Now for a change of pace...
Christmas!
Claire has designed a gorgeous little Christmas set that coordinates with her fabulous Opera Tags dies...

WMS Opera Tags Christmas

I stamped this one in SU Real Red (my favorite red!) and then die cut using the coordinating dies.
The sentiment is also from Opera Tags Christmas and was stamped in Memento Cottage Ivy...
which I then adhered onto a cream cardstock base with some older Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather patterned paper from my stash.
Some striped May Arts ribbon, gold elastic ribbon, some gold pearls and a gold gem completed this.

And that's it for me today...
but you'll want to check out the oodles of inspiration from the rest of the DT...
